The Bloggers Version of Tag
Posted on December 16th, 2008 11 commentsEarlier today the lovely Jen Wilbur, PR extraordinaire and dog lover, tagged me in an interesting blogger game.
The game’s rules state that you: Share 7 facts about yourself in the post; Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names and the links to their blogs; Let them know they’ve been tagged. You should also include the person who tagged you in the post.
So the purpose of the little game/chain letter is to learn a little bit more about the bloggers that can often be a bit of a mystery.
I do not have a personal blog (I spend too much time online as it is
)so I am going to borrow Geary Fresh to play along:- I grew up in a town that has a population of 906. Edgemont, SD is officially my home town. Spent 18 years of my life in this little town. It is not included in most maps and if you want to go to Target it will take you an hour and a half to get there. The local paper comes out every Wednesday and once had a front page feature of “Woman Scared By False Fire Alarm”…and yes it included a photo. I make fun, but it was a really great place to grow up.
- I did pageants. Not the scary children kind, but equally ridiculous in there own right. As sad as it is parts of Drop Dead Gorgeous are pretty drop dead right on don’t ya know.
- I was in a coma for 2 days. In the summer of 2003, I was involved in a pretty severe car accident. Basically I was a passenger in a Kia that was hit by a Taurus….I like to say I took a Taurus in the side. I don’t remember 5 minutes before it happened to two days later when I woke up. My parents where in the hospital room when I work up and I said “Hey mom and dad, what ya doing in Minneapolis?” I actually pulled some old stitches out of my head earlier this summer.
- I am a Minnesota Golden Gopher. I am an alumna of the University of Minnesota. I attended Carlson School of Management and got a double major in Marketing and Entrepreneurial studies. I also minored in Fashion Design, but some days you definitely can’t tell…..I mean who doesn’t love sweatpants.
- I think Audrey Hepurn was the most beautiful woman to ever live. Inside and out…nuff said.
- I was a jock. I played basketball, volleyball, ran track, and was a cheerleader….I am sure living in a small town helped push me into all of those things….but I loved every sprained ankle they caused. To this day I love any group sporting activity…so if anyone ever needs a setter…give me a call.
- I own a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen blow dryer. Don’t judge.
I could have probably been more deep or embarrassed myself more, but you get the gist.
The 7 people I am tagging are:
We will see if these 7 are willing to share. What does everyone think about this game? Is it a great way to learn a bit more about each other or something else?
