ECommerce Conversion Rates
Posted on December 1st, 2008 No commentsCyber Monday. You’ve got a lot of work to do. Numbers were up on Black Friday this year, but the stock market did not seem to care. Historically, Cyber Monday has been the most accurate predictor of spending throughout the entire holiday season, so the statistics released in the wake of Cyber Monday could mean a lot.
With so much hinging on online sales this year, we thought we should spread some praise. We ran across a post about the most effective online brand–based on conversion rates. Our friends at Internet Retailer were kind enough to post the Nielsen Online MegaView report that hails 1-800-flowers as the brand with the most effective w
ebsite. With a 25.2% conversion rate, 1-800-flowers trumped giants like Office Depot, Amazon and QVC in September with their numbers. Here are the top ten converting websites:1. 1-800-flowers, 25.2 %
2. Office Depot, 24.8%
4. QVC, 20.3%
5. Blair, 16.6%
6. J. Crew, 16.3%
8. Vista Print, 15.6%
9. eBags, 14.7%
10. LL Bean, 14.2%
Going one further, Nielsen also tracked the product categories with the highest average order in September.
